Joint RRC Polytech Programs
The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ offers several teacher education programs in conjunction with Red River College Polytechnic.
Industrial Arts Education
Integrated Program − Students may enter the five year, 159 credit hour Integrated BEd/BA or BSc Industrial Arts Education program directly from high school, or as transfer students from another program or faculty. Students will be prepared to teach Industrial Arts, as well as a second subject based on their academic major. Students in the Integrated program attend both RRC Polytech and UW in each year of the program. The schedule for which days will take place at which institutions can be found on page 20 in the Information Booklet for Industrial Arts Education Program located at the bottom of this section.
After-Degree Program − We also offer a three year, 99 credit hour After-Degree option for students who have completed an undergraduate degree. Students in the After-Degree program will spend the first two years at RRC Polytech, and the final year at UW. Students must have completed an 18 credit hour teachable minor prior to attending UW. Completion of a teachable minor may require courses beyond the first degree.

Applied Commerce Education
Integrated Program − Students may enter the five year, 162 credit hour Integrated BEd/BA or BSc Applied Commerce Education program directly from high school, or as transfer students from another program or faculty. Students will be prepared to teach Applied Commerce, as well as a second subject based on their academic major. Students in the Integrated program attend both RRC Polytech and UW in each year of the program. The schedule for which days will take place at which institutions can be found on page 22 in the Information Booklet for Applied Commerce Education Program located at the bottom of this section.
After-Degree Program − We also offer both a two year and a three year After-Degree option for students who have completed an undergraduate degree. The two year option is appropriate for students who have a significant background in Business courses. The Chair of the Teacher Education Program at RRC Polytech will evaluate prior course work, and determine the appropriate program. Students in the After-Degree program will spend the first one or two years at RRC Polytech, and the final year at UW. Students must have completed 18 credit hours of appropriate courses in a teachable minor prior to attending UW. Completion of a teachable minor may require courses beyond the first degree.

Technical Vocational Teacher Education
Graduates of Red River College Polytechnic's Technical Vocational Teacher Education Diploma may complete a BEd degree by completing 60 credit hours at the University of Â鶹´«Ã½. We offer both a full-time option, and a part time program designed for full time teachers.
